The elevator doors slid open revealing a mirrored car. Eva stepped inside the vacant car and saw her myriad reflections. She touched the button for the Skye Lounge, the doors closed and the car began to rise. Eva dug her lipstick out of her purse and looked into the mirror to her right.

Startled, she jumped back and dropped the lipstick. Instead of her own reflection, she saw him. But that was impossible.

Intense blue eyes stared back at her. Eyes she'd seen only once, but they had haunted her dreams for months.

But she wasn't dreaming. She glanced around saw her reflection all around her, but not him. She snapped her head around and faced the mirror before her.

He reached out, but his open palms were spread before him as if his hands touched glass. His lips moved, but Eva couldn't hear him.

Doubting her sanity, she closed her eyes and counted to ten.

She opened her eyes. Eva's breath caught and her heart pounded. He was still there, a beautiful blond, naked Adonis suspended in infinite darkness broken by a splash of distant stars.

His hair had been short when he'd been laid to rest, but now it was beach-bum long. Behind him, something moved. Eva blinked. It couldn't be!

Wings! He had wings with long, dark feathers. She'd seen them before, knew how soft they felt against her skin.

Her blood heated and raw need throbbed deep inside her. Her dark angel had come to claim her and she wanted to be with him. She wanted to feel the rapture.

Eva closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and opened them. He was still there. Blue eyes. Golden hair. Black wings. Hallucinating or dreaming? Eva had no idea what was happening, but she didn't care. Nothing mattered, but him.

She reached out. Her hand slid through what once was a mirror, but was now a clear thin barrier that was thicker than water.

Their palms met and their fingers clasped. She felt the warmth of his hand, the strength of muscle and bone.

He tightened his grip on her hand and snapped his wings. Eva floated up. Her purse slid off her shoulder, her money, credit cards and identification, all the trappings of her worldly existence going with it, but Eva didn't care.

Her heart pounded, but not in fear as the dark angel drew her through the mirror and into his world. As she passed through the barrier her clothing vanished. He embraced her, skin touched skin and hearts beat as one. His warmth and strength surrounded her and just like in her dreams a feeling of utter bliss bloomed in her chest.

A wave of need rolled through her and she gripped his shoulders. She gasped as the fire of passion licked her veins.

He cupped her chin and tilted her head back. Their gazes met. His eyes were blazing, lit by a brilliant fire and Eva knew. This was meant to be. They were meant to be.

Eva closed her eyes and her breath caught as his lips touched hers. Her lips parted and his tongue, tasting of cinnamon, slid inside her mouth. Hot and powerful, his mouth devoured hers, his tongue delving and retreating. He caressed her back and cupped her butt, pulling her tight against him. His erection, hot and hard, pressed against her belly.

Her breathing quickened and her body burned...
